For the past several years I have been releasing a blog planner update to my Free Printable Build Your Own Blog Planner. This year I’ve added more updates, but I have also decided to move my blogging-related content to a new space.

A Well Crafted Blog

Introducing: A Well Crafted Blog

It has been important for me to be able to reach my blog readers with information about topics they love. Many of my readers came to my blog for the free printable blog planner, and are therefore not interested in some of the other content I offer on the blog. Most of this blog is devoted to DIY, entertaining, recipes and similar lifestyle topics. In trying to share blog knowledge I’ve sort of muddied the waters here on the blog.

I do hope that you’ll continue to follow this blog. However, for those of you who came to this blog for blogging resources, I introduce my newest website: www.awellcraftedblog.com. This site will regularly share blogging resources, tips, and inspiration. It is also the host for my blog planner for 2018!

Free Printable Blog Planner 2017 Edition - A Well Crafted Party

Build Your Ideal Blogging Planner

First, this is a “build your own” style of planner. The reason I chose this style of planner is because one does not fit all in the blogging world. Some bloggers blog multiple times a month, others blog once a week. Some bloggers are hobby bloggers and don’t need pages of financial planning while others use their blogs as a business and welcome a little financial organization. The pages included in this planner all coordinate with one another. Pick and choose which pages will make the perfect planner for you. If you are just looking for one quick download then I also have a planner built into a PDF that is a fairly complete and general planner. You just need to download and print!

Blog Maintenance Worksheets Free Printables - A Well Crafted Party

What’s new?

Each year I go through and modify pages from the previous years and adding new pages as I see fit. I fixed some mistakes on the 2016 edition and made a couple of the sheets more user-friendly. In addition, I added in some new worksheets, including:

  • – Brand Contacts Sheet— Use this to keep all of your contact information at your finger tips.
  • – To Do Lists – Print off several to use throughout the year.
  • – Year at a Glance Planner— See the dates for the entire year.
  • – Two Posts Weekly — Many bloggers are now posting only twice weekly and this planner is for them.
  • – Two Posts Daily— Occasionally I get a request from someone who is really creating a ton of content. This sheet is for them! Plan out two daily posts with this worksheet.
  • – Monthly Covers – I’ve changed up the quotes on the monthly covers.

Obviously, this isn’t a lot of new items. Part of that is because I’ve developed this so much over the years that I didn’t find a lot of new areas of need. The other part is because I have been developing a FREE E-Mail Course on Finding  Your Blog Passion. Finding Your Blog Passion e-mail course will launch in the next couple of weeks!

We hear over and over again that planning is the key to successful blogging. For some people, it is! Planning and organizing out blog posts, collaborations, affiliations, sponsors, and the like can get overwhelming easily. It is a good idea to keep your plans all in one central location whether it be on your computer, online, or on paper. For people out there that LOVE the feel of paper in hand, or want a place that is non-tech based to hash through post ideas, or even have a way of posting up your schedule so that you can see it everyday… I made these printables!

I created a set of free printable blog planning sheets for the Portland Bloggers’ January Meet-Up from this past weekend. I’ve been utilizing them in my own planning now and am finding them super helpful. Check them out and hopefully you’ll find one or two that can help make your blog planning go a little more smoothly.

The free printables in the blog planning package include:

  • Monthly Blog Post Planning Calendar— Each sheet has an open month calendar so that you can put the month and dates in. Each day on the calendar has popular social networking symbols with check boxes so that you can check off when you’ve promoted a post.
  • Weekly Blog Post Planning Calendar— Some people prefer to plan out their blog posts in more detail and on a weekly basis. The weekly calendar also has social networking symbols. It also has an area for weekly blog maintenance and SEO planning prompts.
  • Events and Holidays— A list of events and holidays. This is not a comprehensive list by any means… it also has all of the dates for the upcoming Portland Bloggers’ Meet-Ups.
  • Blog Post Brainstorming Worksheet A blog post planning sheet
  • Blog Collaboration Worksheet A place to track collaborative projects and responsibilities.
  • Blog Resolutions Tracker— A place to write and track blog goals and resolutions
  • Finance Tracker— A place to record income and expenses
  • Affiliate Programs— A place to track affiliate programs
  • Sponsors— A place to track sponsors, payment, and responsibilities.
  • Stats & Analytics— A place to record your stats and analytics monthly
The above links go to a downloadable FREE PDF of each sheet of the printable planner. Download the ones you need!
(PS. I’d love to know what you think of the free blog planner, what items you’d like to see on an update, and how you are using them for your blog!) There will be a new set of printables out near the end of the year, so get your suggestions in soon!
* I created these free printables for personal use only.
The printables were first featured on the Portland Bloggers’ website (also owned by me).
