The little lady that I threw the Woodland Baby Shower for last January is now one! Time sure flies… Her mom and dad pulled off an amazing Rainbow Themed First Birthday for her recently. I’m super excited that they are letting me share some photos of the event. This makes for a wonderful first birthday party. I also think some of the party details could easily be transformed into an awesome Wizard of Oz party or, with the addition of a bucket of gold, a great St. Patrick’s Day Party.

Yes, we are THAT family. You know, the one with matching shirts. Got our shirts via Etsy

My son is nearly fourteen months already. I can’t believe it! A couple months ago we celebrated his 1st birthday in true “A Well Crafted Party” style.

Today I posted some of the awesome photos that Macey of Motormouth Studio took of the party. I’ll be posting party details, projects, and free printables throughout the week.

But, I wanted to post some of my favorite photos of the party that aren’t related to the decor or food. THE PEOPLE! Thanks to all the lovely people that made it out to X’s first birthday.

The Bost Men

There were five adorable babies in attendance at the party. Afton and Ruthie (The Boho Mama’s twin girls); Jaxson; Jack (The Garden of Edlen‘s son); and X!

X loves his Uncle Jonny to pieces

He dug right into his presents!

X’s GoGo flew up from Oklahoma to spend his birthday with him. He was so happy to see her!

X’s party was a ton of fun. Check back tomorrow to see what we did on his ACTUAL birthday.

You know, it is pretty awesome to have super talented and amazing friends. I love throwing a party any day of the week. But, sometimes it is just fun to go to a party and be surprised by all the lovely little details. Adi, from Garden of Edlen (a fellow Portland blogger), threw a top-notch, awesome birthday party for her son Jack’s first birthday. Adi went with a Do-It-Yourself approach to creating a party based on the book “Where the Wild Things Are” by Maurice Sendak. Check out the awesome DIY details so you can create your very own “Where the Wild Things Are” First Birthday Party.
