I’ve been really good recently about sticking to my posting schedule. Today I had a post almost ready to go an just waiting a few small things before I could publish. But, life got in the way a bit. And, I’m so glad it did.

My husband’s parents are in town visiting and we are having such fun together! My son is calling them “BamMa” and “Papa.” Today we decided to go out to the Willamette River and paddle board. I stayed at the shore with the kiddo…but, we all had a grand time. Afterwards we enjoyed a homemade dinner on a rooftop in downtown Portland.

Today was a long day. I got up super early to work on my craft project for the Pacific Northwest Blogger Craft & Photo event. I didn’t get my craft quite to the point that I wanted to… but, I got everyone a craft set of printables and the makings for food toppers and banners.

We ran WAY over time at the event and I only got ten minutes to explain my craft and hope that people would make them at home. I’m glad now that I went with such a simple craft. Though, I wish I had thought to put directions in the kit! I think the craft sets turned out really cute… unfortunately, I didn’t get ONE photo of them! So, if any one went to today’s event and took a photo of my craft, please send it my way!

Guests at the event also go to paint canvas bags, make macrame plant holders, and get their portrait taken. Fun fun! I’ll be back a different day to share more photos, crafts, and the such. Today, today I just want to share a glimpse of the fun and hit the hay! G’night!

Over the past week while several lovely bloggers filled the pages of my blog with awesome Summer Entertaining tips, recipes, & more, I was enjoying a nice family vacation in Texas. We flew into DFW late Tuesday evening and left the following Tuesday. We spent a little time in Ft. Worth before heading out to Waco for a wedding! Our vacation was FILLED with wedding fun, but we got in a few Texas sized attractions before heading back home. It was HOT in Texas, but from what I’ve heard, Portland was pretty hot that week as well. At least while we were in Texas we got to enjoy great air conditioning! We flew back just in time to miss all the terrible heat and settle in for a nice Pacific Northwest Summer.

All of the snapshots are iPhone photos gathered from my own phone as well as family member’s phones. Also, this is not a sponsored post. However, I am wearing and linking to a necklace that was given to me free of charge by a local business. I’ll be posting that post soon!

Don’t we look grand. After the wedding the real photographer got some amazing shots. This shot was not one of them. 😉
