Portland Bloggers’ Meet-Up: Social Strategies for Bloggers

Just a couple weeks ago I helped host another Portland Bloggers’ meet-up. I’ve LOVED being a part of this growing community. It is so fulfilling! We have area meet-ups every other month. We try to do four educational events and two events that are purely for socializing. Our past event was a workshop on Social Media Strategies for Bloggers. I learned a lot and have been putting much of the info to use (check out the slideshow from the event to get some tips for your own social media straegies!) and have seen actual results already! Read on to see the beautiful images and learn more about the event.

Portland Bloggers' Social Strategies

About the Meetup:

Social Strategies for Bloggers was a meet-up hosted by the Portland Bloggers. Portland Bloggers is a meetup group and website created for and by Portland, Oregon area bloggers. Ashley Stuart from SwellPath spoke about several Social Media outlets and trends. She suggested ways to use social media to increase traffic to blogs and market brands. Check her and her company out on twitter @fancypants10 and @swellpath.

She shared her slideshow about Social Media on SlideShare.

About the Food:

Three fabulous Portland food vendors provided treats for Portland Bloggers to enjoy at the meetup.

Water Avenue Coffee Company is a Portland-based roasters. Water Avenue Coffee donated coffee for the event. I drank SEVERAL cups of the coffee and can vouch that it was good stuff! I can’t wait to visit the SE Portland coffee house. Find them on Twitter @wateravecoffee and Facebook.

Blue Star Donuts is a gourmet donut shop located in downtown Portland. Blue Star provided tasty donuts for the event. These donuts were so good that I have already visited their shop since the meet-up. SO GOOD. Look for a restaurant review in the near future. Find them on Twitter @BlueStarDonuts and Facebook.

Nuvrei Patisserie & Cafe is a European and French inspired cafe located in NW Portland. We enjoyed macarons from the cafe at the meet-up. Anyone who knows me, knows I love Nuvrei Patisserie & Cafe. I wrote a restaurant review a year ago. Find Nuvrei Patisserie & Cafe on Twitter @nuvrei and Facebook.
