Last week I was invited to a complementary lunch connecting those involved with this year’s Portland Fashion Week. I’m SO excited to be involved through the PFW Style Collective. The ideas that Jessica Kane and her team are bringing to this year’s event are worth getting excited for with her efforts to make the Fashion week bigger and better than ever.

Sometimes I feel out of my league with all the stylish people. But, that is one awesome thing about Portland’s fashion arena— it is everything goes! And, I’m not meaning in a bad way… not every person in Portland is fashionable. However, Portland has a way of accepting a variety of styles that I’ve seen no where else. You put a little effort into your look and rock it in confidence and you are on trend here in PDX. But, the people behind Portland Fashion Week. Now, they know FASHION. Like the big city stuff people! I was happy to feel fairly fashion forward in my little outfit of the basic jeans, black tee, blazer, and statement shoes. I even got a few compliments on my favorite pair of Target heels!

Jeans and Black Tee
Take Jeans and a Black Tee up a notch by putting on a blazer, statement jewelry, and a great pair of heels!
I love wearing my dark rimmed glasses when I wear more simple outfits. They are a fun statement piece that are also extremely practical in my case!

Gotta get a photo in color with these heels! I love the gold cap toe!

Please excuse the iPhone photos. I didn’t want to lug around my clunky camera, but have decided that I must do it until I get an iPhone 5! My poor little 4’s camera just doesn’t cut it. But, a big thank you to Jessica for snapping some shots of the full outfit!

  1. You look great! A blazer definitely makes an outfit look more polished.

    • Thanks so much! I always grab for a great jacket to pull a look together— that might be because I live in Portland though (all the rain!)
