Tomorrow evening I am speaking at The CRAVE Company’s meet-up titled, “In a Relationship with My Blog.” I’m speaking with four other blogging professionals and I am so excited to have been asked to speak!

We’ll be talking all about blogging….from beginning blogging, blogging tips, blogging for business, and building a brand. I spent the evening preparing some of my thoughts about it all and now I am just BUZZING from it all.

I feel so fortunate to be able to work as a freelance writer, media assistant, and blogger. I feel elated that I get to work with so many amazing talents through the Portland Blogger events. And, now, I’m just plain flabbergasted to be asked to speak at as a woman entrepreneur. Like, seriously, a year ago I would have never imagined this is where I’d be today.

I’m not saying the going is easy, but man… is it worth it! (Although, seriously, easy can come any day now. I wouldn’t fight it!)

In my work preparing, I came across two infographics that really speak a lot about blogging as a trade. Check out State of the Blogging World for a quick look at the reality of blogging for money. Yep, about 81% of bloggers don’t break $100 with their blog. I’m gonna let you in on a secret—SHHH! I’m still in that category. However, my blog has brought me OTHER opportunities that have brought paying work. The other infographic is a fabulous (and, quite funny) look at the Brain of a Beginning Blogger. My favorite part of the beginning blogger brain infographic was the portion on SEO. So, right.

If you are going to the CRAVE event I hope you’ll say hi! If you are not going then I will try to remember as much as I can to share with you sometime soon.

And, if I haven’t said it enough…
THANK YOU for reading my little blog.
