A while back I hosted a bridal shower for a friend who was planning a wedding in Las Vegas. Because most of the shower guests were not going to be able to attend the wedding, we decided to have some fun and bring Vegas to Portland for this party. The vegas theme combined with the bride’s favorite color of purple made for a really fun (and beautiful) “Lucky in Love” bridal shower. I won’t tease you with the sneak peek any longer…  and because I’m obsessed with photos, I am going to overload you all with Party Porn and post the many party details. Here we go:

Lucky in Love Bridal Shower with Purple decor elements

The decorations were made with a combination of purple fabrics, glitters, markers and flowers. I purchased a set of (affiliate link) purple playing cards via Amazon. The playing cards hung from the ceiling, decorated the walls, and topped the DIY flower arrangements. I wrapped up ring pops in handmade purple boxes for favors. We had a photobooth area with a hand painted Vegas sign as the background. And, finally, I created some fun printables to tie all the elements together. The bar area had the cute (affiliate links) grey paper straws  and  purple sugar rimmed glasses. I love paper straws…. even though they are becoming super popular and overused. I just think there is something so classic and cute about them. Create the fun cakestands pictured above by following my super simple cake stand tutorial!

We just hooked up my computer/web cam with the photobooth app to take the photos of guests in front of the photobooth. It ended up being a lot of fun because people could change the look of their photos on a whim. I then sent the photos out via email after the party. My favorite photobooth photo actually ended up being one that the people’s faces didn’t turn out…. it almost looked like we were really in Vegas!
